Get better already

Geez, Itchy. Would you get better already!

Itchy is still sick. It's been 5 days. He claims that this is the longest he's ever been sick. Not entirely true, I've seen him sick longer but he was feeling better each day instead of getting worse. Either way, he looks like crap.

He went to a doctor this afternoon. I went with, being the loving girlfriend that I am. At first the doctor said that he could probably tough it out. Since Itchy's temp was on the high side of normal, he prescribed an antibiotic and a cough medicine to be taken in addition to an over the counter multi-symptom cold medication.

Itchy was trying to get out of taking all of that. He doesn't like to take any medication. I told Itchy that he needs it to feel better. He didn't want to take the cough medicine. Too bad dude. Not coughing will make you feel better. The OTC stuff will help clear your head. Take it and shut up. It's tough love people. I do it because I love him.

He already is feeling better. An afternoon on the couch and a bellyful of meds seems to be doing the trick. We're having dinner tonight with a friend and her parents, so he'll get a good meal (i.e. not microwaved).
