Update

Yesterday's trip to the vet resulted in one very sad and dopey kitten and two very broke owners.

The vet made the decision to do a full workup yesterday. I wasn't expecting that. A full workup for Patches involves sedation, so I was thinking that they'd want her dropped off sometime this week. But the vet we saw was cool with getting everything done right away even though she got totally behind schedule.

They ended up doing blood work, a urinalysis, radiographs, and they removed the mass. The mass is being sent out to the experts. Hopefully we'll have results by the middle of the week. It's nice that we won't have to wait an entire freaking month (like we did on The Island) to get some answers. Not to mention that it's being sent to a real accredited lab with real board certified pathologists instead of some unknown lab on some island somewhere.

Patches was pretty out of it when we got her home, but once she got comfortable she slept most of the day away. I made her a cat cave (I like to build forts) that she seems to be enjoying. She doesn't seem to have much pain today. She's not loving the e-collar but she can't be trusted.
