See 'n say

My mom bought Stowa a See 'N Say months ago. She has loved it since she first laid eyes on it. It makes animal sounds and plays songs. What's not to love? Well, she didn't love that she couldn't pull the handle by herself. Mom or Dad had to help her. That changed today though. Stowa figured out how to do it all by herself!

Of course, this means that for the last 30 minutes I've been listening to animal sounds and "Old McDonald".

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is a big day around our house. Today is our first (legal) wedding anniversary. And it's Patches' birthday.

Yep a year ago today our marriage became a legal one. We still have the receipt from our dinner that night. I really should get it framed. So romantic.

Patches is turning 7 today. She's been an old lady for a while now. She's as annoying as she's ever been, but also very tolerate of Stowa. The two of them are buddies.

The other reason today is a big day is because Stowa got her very first fishing rod today! She's ready to go fishing!! Now we just need a boat. And the ice to melt. But after that, we're all set.

Early Anniversary/Valentine's Day present

Yep. Itchy has set the bar awfully high. I don't know how he's going to top this one. It's a 2007 Chevy Impala. It has one of those key chain dealies that unlock/lock the doors and open the trunk. It even has a remote start. Awesomeness. Power windows/locks, etc. It's pretty sweet.

The card I got for him is going to seem pretty lame now.

Not much to blog about

It's hard to find things to blog about when you're living in the movie Groundhog's Day. Every day is the same. Itchy goes to work, Stowa and I get up, we play, we clean, we eat, blah, blah, blah.

We get out of the house at least a few times a week, but it's for trips to the bank and the grocery store. Not to exciting.

Stowa is learning all sorts of stuff. She is totally in love with reading right now. Loves it. We read all day long. We bought her a bean bag chair. It's next to her bookshelf. She sits there and "reads". Adorable.

She runs around kissing everything right now. Except Itchy. She won't give daddy a kiss.

We were having a bit of a tough time getting her to nap after the move. It was hell. She was crabby. It made me crabby. I think we're on the upside of this battle, since she's napping right now.

Itchy is doing a great job running the clinic. He's made a bunch of changes that are making the place even better. Now that he's got the business crap out of the way, he can actually practice some medicine.

Today at the deli

Stowa and I went to the grocery store today. While we in line at the deli, the woman ahead of us ordered 3 slices of ham. It just struck me as odd and I thought I'd share with the group.
